Users accounts, roles and access control

The BlobCity Database comes with exhaustive security and permissions controls module. It is designed keeping in mind enterprise usages and needs of security requirements for large teams. Bear in mind that security is of extreme essence for multi-tenant deployments, with the complete security package that is used in the multi-tenant cloud deployment being available for on-premise installations.

The permissions are allotted to connecting users and apply to individual user accounts. Users can be clubbed into groups to simplify allotment of the same permissions to multiple users. The permissions allow control of certain DB and admin functions, along with controlled access of data within the database. The permissions can be system permissions and data permissions as explained in subsequent sections.
